Advanced Therapy (AT)

Say goodbye to painful scar tissue

Our Advanced Therapy is influenced by AT which relieves pain, restores range of motion, and improves muscle function

Advanced Therapy (AT) is one of the most effective treatments for overuse-related injuries. When muscles are overused or otherwise prevented from achieving full and proper recovery, scar tissue begins to form. As scar tissue builds up in the musculoskeletal system, individuals experience pain, limited range of motion, and loss of function to certain parts of the body. Untreated, this can lead to additional conditions that negatively impact muscles, tendons, nerves, and ligaments. AT works by breaking apart scar tissue in muscles and tendons, reducing pain, restoring range of motion, and improving functionality.

Developed by Dr. P. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP, over 30 years ago, AT is a patented massage technique that involves the patient moving muscles or ligaments while the practitioner presses the affected area, allowing the practitioner to engage the musculoskeletal structure as it moves beneath the pressure of their contact. There are more than 500 different movements that muscles, tendons, fascia, ligaments, and nerves respond to, with different techniques and levels of pressure. With such dizzying variety, each treatment is unique to each patient, based on specific histories and injuries.
